JEE Main 2016 Rank list |JoSAA Counselling Explained

JEE Main 2016 rank list will be published on June 23. Out of more than 13 lakh who wrote the JEE Main exam on 3 April and 9 & 10 April in online and offline mode,  1,98,228 qualified for JEE advanced and around 1.6 lakh took the same. JEE Main rank list 2016 will be published for all of the candidates including Advanced qualified ones.

JEE Main 2016 Rank Card indicating All India Rank, State Rank and Category Rank with total marks and marks in each paper will be available on JEE (Main) website. JEE (Main) rank list Released on June 23.

Students will be able to know their ranks under their login profile after entering the roll number and required details.

JEE (MAIN) 2016 AIR :

The All India Ranks (AIR) of the candidates will be based on their JEE Main score (60 percent weightage) and Class 12 scores (40 percent weightage). The publication of JEE Main rank list is considered to be as part two of results. The allocation to around 34,781 seats for 629 courses in 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 18 GFTIs and 20 IIITs this year will be provided on the basis of All India Rank (AIR) obtained by students in JEE Main 2016.

Only the All India Rank (AIR) is used for admissions through Central Seat Allocation Board to NITs/IIITs/CFTIs/SFIs/Others, while other ranks are for information purposes.

JoSAA Counselling:

JEE Main rank 2016 is published today, the process of counselling and seat allocation will begin. Here’s the complete schedule for that.

24-06-2016 10:00 AM Registration and filling-in of choices for academic programs will begin.
27-06-2016 10:00 AM To 04:00 PM Mock seat allocation will be displayed based on choices filled by students as of 26 June, 5 pm.
28-06-2016 05:00 PM Candidates registration an choice filling ends.
29-06-2016 Reconcile the date, allocate seats, verify and validate
30-06-2016 10:00 AM 1st round of seat allocation result will be published at 10 am. Candidates will have to accept the seats between next 4-5 days.
A total of 4 rounds will held for allocation of seats, each scheduled to begin after the completion of admission in previous round. The current schedule of counselling after 1st round is indicative and will be finalised soon by the apex board.
